My Florence Home

My humble abode the last month…have had several people ask to see it so here you go. It is indeed a humble abode in this 1600 (according to the host, I find hard to fathom) year old building in Piazza San Marco in Florence. Although a few issues along the way it has provided me the main criteria I wanted…proximity to train station and attractions of Florence but mostly, price! I paid $76 a night. I wanted a home base that I would be comfortable taking overnight trips exploring Tuscany a few times without feeling guilty about paying for two different places at the same time on those nights. As mentioned…there were some issues/irritations along the way but they allowed me to grow outside my comfort zone and be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Well other than the small earthquake one morning that shook me awake…I will never be comfortable being on the top floor of a very old building during an earthquake! There has been laughter, there has been dancing, there has been many conversations with my self and there has been some cussing but most of all there has been growth within these very old walls. I leave Florence with a happy heart and a lot of memories filled with excitement for my next adventure.

Ciao Florence!
